RICHARD PRESCOTT

Orange City Chamber Council Chair

Board of Directors 2024

Committed to advocating for the business community, the Orange City Chamber Council is part of the largest business network in West Volusia County, the DeLand & Greater West Volusia Chamber of Commerce. The mission of the Orange City Chamber Council is to act as a CATALYST for business growth; a CONVENER of leaders and influencers who make things happen; and a CHAMPION for a stronger community.

The Orange City Chamber Council is a small focus group comprised of Orange City business members at-large, local government and elected officials, and a Divisional Vice-President of the chamber board of directors appointed as Chair by the President. Business members may apply to serve on this advocacy council to represent their city business community. The Orange City Chamber Council reports quarterly to the Board of Directors on matters related to supporting business growth, sustainability, and economic vitality. The work of the council ensures that all the areas of West Volusia County are well represented in the planning and decision-making of the board.

The Orange City Chamber Council serves as part of the broader chamber mission to be an advocate for members by helping the business community identify and respond to challenges, providing opportunities for networking, education, and deliberation, and developing community leaders. The 6 municipalities of West Volusia are represented across 4 chamber councils.
